5G is here - Airtel 5G Plus

Overview:

Airtel has launched 5G in Mega Cities of India with the name 'Airtel 5G Plus'. They say that the speed of 5G Plus is 30 Times faster than the existing Network (4G).

Requirements:

1. 5G handset

2. Airtel 5G must be rolled out in your state.

3. An Active 4G Pack.

If these 3 requirements are fulfilled, then you can start enjoying 5G Plus by Airtel.

How to check Eligibility:

Download the Airtel Thanks app and login with your registered mobile number. Click Airtel 5G Plus. The app will ask for location permission to check if 5G has rolled out in your city. Next the App will check if your handset supports 5G. The list of phones is also made available for you to check.

Have a 5G handset (Ex. iPhone) but still can't use 5G?

If you have a 5G handset and still can't use 5G that either means it does not support the 5G band that Airtel uses for 5G OR Your phone manufacturer is yet to release a Software update to enable 5G functionality

(only applicable for which have 5G Hardware)

Airtel is still planning on packs for 5G till then they are offering Unlimited Data at a speed of 1GB/s which is amazing. Broadband like experience on a phone.
